Which Rifle do I have Winchester 1892??

Picked up this rifle this weed thinking it was a Ciammaron Winchester modlel 1892. After I got it home I found in very small letters on left of barrel just forward of the rear sight " TRADIONIONS OLD SAY BROOK CT. I have tried searching on all sight regrarding Cimmaron/ Mario San Marco and cannot find anything to help id the rifle. It has 24" octagon barrel, front cap is plated , receiver is plated silver, as the stock plate and it is curved. No saddle ring on leftside of receiver eithre.

Are you sure it doesn't say Armi San Marco? They used to make reproductions of cowboy style firearms like the 1892. It was probably imported by some joint effort of Traditions and Cimarron.

Ok I never professed to be any type expert with a camera. I can aim and shoot that's about the height of my knowledge. The finish on receiver, end cap and butt plate looks like nickle plating, magnet will stick to it so its not stainless Will have to look back at earlier post to see what I misspelled (most likely my name)The marking on top of barrel is very clearly marked ARMI SAN MARCO on the side of rifle in very small lettering it has Tradition Old Saybrooke CT. In an attempt to pinpoint this one I have looked at CIMMARON, ARMI SPORT di CHIAPPA SILVIA & C. Snc, and a few others. All others show case colored receiver , end cap and butt plate. This on has finish in white, not stainless, wife said she though it was silver plated. Not going to keep me awake trying to determine which one is what, but will sleep easier if I know

It sure looks like an 1892 clone to me.

Likely some previous owner damaged or did not like whatever finish was on the reciever. As a result he polished the metal to the shiney white finish it has now.

Yep, it is a clone of a 92 Winchester. The caliber should be stamped on the barrel between the receiver and rear sight.....chris3

EMF offered the 92 in that finish, and I think they were Italian imports.

Looks like an Armi sport. Not a bad 92 clone. Should be a hoot to shoot.
