Which Shotgun and why?

i went to the local gunshop, handled the 500, 870 and bernelli in normal and pistol grips.. couldnt stand the mossberg safety with the pistol grip.. and the bernelli didnt feel right so i ordered the 870 express tactical should be here thursday or friday!

I haven't fired enough ammo through my 930SPX yet to make an informed decision based upon my own personal experience with the gun, but it did perform flawlessly with a variety of shells the first time out.

Mine has been flawless with everything so far, including light birdshot some crappy target loads. Mostly I keep it loaded with 00 buck from Remchester, as these are superbly accurate. I wanted a semi-auto rather than a pump for HD, and this one fits the bill nicely.

I would have to recommend the 870 HD (25077). Great shotgun. Also, I got one a couple years ago brand new, never had a bit of rust. I lightly oil it every few months, and it's good. I don't know if it's finish is any different than the new Express's, but I just know mine is new, and hasn't seen rust, nor the sticky chamber issue, so I can say positively that my 870 HD is 100%.
