I purchased an older (late 70's or earlier 80's per seller) Remington 870 Wingmaster with a 3" magnum receiver and 28" barrel.

The shotgun seems to fit me so I am keeping the classy walnut furniture, but want to get a shorter barrel and an extended magazine tube for training and at home configuration.

The impending CO legislation has me scurrying for an appropriate extension tube and of course these seem to be scarce. I want one that will not protrude past the shorter barrel that I also hope to find (also scarce).

A matching blued finish, non-ribbed, bead site, 18.5" barrel appears to be extinct for now, so I may be stuck with a parkerized version which appear from time to time on the auction site. I'm OK with the mis-matched barrel and receiver finishes but want to find a mag tube that does not extend past the barrel, and a mag tube that maximizes round count when using the stock barrel as well.

I'm not sure which to look for (+2, +7 ?? for each) alternatively, if I end up with a 20" barrel, I'm OK with this too since it is shorter, but again don't want the tube to go past the barrel.

Can anyone recommend a source for an appropriate tube (and barrel for that matter)?

CDNN had some parkerized Remington 870 factory extensions listed, last I knew. They were the two-shot version, which fit flush with an 18.5" barrel. You need to supply your own spring and follower with these however. Give them a call and check for status. Telephone: 800-588-9500
