Anyone placed an order with White Oak Armament during this craze and received anything yet? I ordered an A2 stock assembly about a month ago. Luckily I haven't been charged, but since it isn't really anything that needs to be assembled, I am a little irked. Their website now has a disclaimer that says, the ability to add an item to the cart does not mean it is in stock. :banghead: I am almost positive it wasn't there back when I ordered it, maybe I missed it, but either way, this is 2013 how hard is it to have something say "out of stock" on the website? I figure I'd just ask here, since sending them an email will probably get me no response, or a generic "we are shipping orders as fast as possible" response.

Also I figured I'd share some results from other vendors during this time of peril, in case anyone cares.

Powder Valley - Placed order of 1000 bullets 3/6, shipped 4/11. Advertised lead time was about a month and they did not charge my card until it shipped, so overall pretty good.

Brownell's - Placed an order for a couple 20-rnd mags in February, knowing they were on backorder, and they arrived after about 3 weeks...not bad!

PSA - Ordered two stripped lower receivers, and in separate orders, an LBK and an LPK. All 3 of these orders shipped and arrived within about 10 days. I continue to be impressed every time I order through them.

Bass Pro - Ordered a couple items, both advertised as backordered. One arrived after about 4 weeks. The other, I guess is gone forever, so they sent me some form to fill out, via snail mail, to tell them what I want them to do with my money (exchange it for something or refund). It is pretty annoying.

Amazon - Surprisingly, ordered a lot from amazon. A few tools for the AR building and a Vortex scope. Amazon prime, free 2-day shipping, gotta love it!

I back-ordered a stripped lower from Brownells on Jan. 1. Still waiting.

Ordered two 30 round E-lander mags from the Mako Group that were in stock; it took about 11 weeks to receive those.

I ordered a complete upper from them in October or November. Their lead time was 18 weeks back then. I can only imagine what their lead time is now. It has to be out of sight.
Now, I guess John has been ramping up his staff because my rifle actually shipped early and I had it in mid Jan instead of mid Feb, but I bet they are still swamped.

For what it is worth, I'm extremely happy with the WOA stuff I have. I put 9 out of 10 in the black at 600 yards on my first time ever shooting at this distance. They have quality products.

I had the same ordering experience at Brownells ordering the same thing. Oddly enough, the 20 round mags came in a few weeks. The MTM ammo cases still aren't here and it has been several months. Go figure.

I ordered a barrel from White Oak Armament in early October, 2012, and received it around February 1, 2013.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.

Oh wow. That's pretty long wait, but I can understand it for a complete upper, much more than a stock kit. The upper requires someone to assemble it, maybe even test-fire it.

JUST the barrel?!? Wow. I am really starting to worry that summer may be passed before I see my stock, and am tempted to order a cheap carbine stock off amazon just to be a placeholder for now. But, I thought it was in stock! (no pun intended) I still don't get how any modern website can have you go through the entire process of checking out without telling you it is unavailable. To expect you to go to another page of the site and read through a list of out of stock items seems so...archaic. Not to mention I don't even know if that disclaimer was there when I placed my order.

Why would you order a stock from White Oak? They do higher end guns they aren't a parts house.

A2 stocks can be harder to find than the adjustable M4 types...and yes, they are a parts house. Just a competition oriented parts house that makes custom fitted guns and a lot of them. I got all the parts except the stripped lower from John.

OP, to your point, I did have all of my "parts" in about 4 days or less. The upper took a while, but all of the parts shipped right away. That was October-ish though. Quite different now.

Like Jeff H said, A2 stocks were/are hard to find, and by all accounts they had them in stock, so I ordered. The price was good, I didn't see a disclaimer, it let me add to cart and check out.

Maybe you are confusing Precision and Armament. Same Company, different "house" ?
