The Whitney is a very interesting pistol.
It has a great grip angle and naturally points.
The action is FAST, so fast that the wholesaler wanted to rename it "The Lightning".
The design is unique and was years ahead of it's time. The outer "receiver" is just a frame to hold the action together, and Whitney had planned on offering the gun to big retailers like Sears, Wards, and Western Auto guns made for them which would all have a different shaped and look outer frame.
The gun usually shoots VERY well with a good degree of accuracy.
The magazine is also unique, and is one of the best .22LR magazines ever designed.
The design was just too good to die, and Olympic is making a plastic version of it, and another company who owns all the production equipment is planning on making an exact reproduction of it with an aluminum frame.
