Or is it something I can do myself? I have a P2000 and the trigger pull is too harsh. I'm told there's a two-spring set that can be replaced that will bring the pull down into the 4-5 lb. range, and that there are other things that can be done to get it slightly below 4 lbs., which would be ideal. Does anyone know of a 'smith that can do it, or where I can get the parts to do it myself?

I do alot of 1911 work, like trigger jobs and fitting of frame parts, and have no trouble dismantling and reassembling Sigs. I don't think a plastic gun should be too much trouble, right?

I would send it back to H&K, but I'm in the middle of a bad experience with another gun maker right now, and I'm sworn off of 'em at least until I get my %$&*@ gun back. I'm tired of being nonchalantly told "another week or two" when I could have forged a new gun with a popsicle stick in the time it's taken so far. Anyway, any pointers would be much appreciated.

HK-putting the "cuss" into customer service for over 20 years.:p

Extensive dryfiring practice will help smooth things out. If you can get parts out of HK and feel comfortable doing it yourself that might be best. Keep in mind if you screw up getting HK to fix it will be a PITA.

I once waited twelve months for a part from them. I worked for an HK dealer at the time.:fire:

Specialized,

I have only one thing to add to this thread.

Do a THR search for "Bruce Grey"..

He seems to be the one guy that everyone turns to when they need a trigger job done on any of HK's polymer handguns. ;)
