just trying to get an idea of how many highroaders carry, and with what frequency.

this is a private poll, so no one will see where you voted.

what poll ?
I carry every day from time Iget up to bed time I am armed , out and about or at home. I don't care if people see how I voted

Yea, everyday. Thats what I bought the PM9 for, its light enough that I can carry it and it not be a burden while working, and still packs a punch if I need it.

I carry no matter what. I have a permit to carry from Indiana (my state of residence). However, I don't have a problem admitting that I've even carried when it was illegal. I've carried in Chicago during the Taste of Chicago festival. I've also carried on campus, where I attend college.

I feel bad for those who are too scared to take things into their own hands. Have any of you been to the Taste of Chicago??? A random "pop" noise will come out of nowhere, and people duck. I'm dead serious. I'm guilty of it myself. If you ever go there and were to take a good look around, you will understand why I choose to protect myself and my girlfriend.

As far as college campuses go...watch a documentary on the Virginia Tech shooting. You might not feel so bad about carrying on school grounds after watching it.

I'm sorry if I've offended anyone who abides by the law 100%, but I feel that it's easier to fight my way out of a courtroom than to dig myself out of a grave. In the end, I will take my chances with the law. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I attend college, so I do not carry onto campus. Although I do keep my piece in my car sometimes when I park on campus. Other than that, I got my 1911 by my side.

I am a gunsmith, I work in a gun shop and I live in a town that has been in the top 5 for gang related murders and violent homicides more then a dozen times, damn straight I carry everyday, I have a family to be concerned about!

I carry everyday, at all times. My brother and dad make fun of me for carrying inside the house, but i dont care. When its legal of course.

FWIW:

LWS380 every day in a rear pocket (wallet style) holster...

If I'm leaving the local area and I feel the need for a larger caliber cc firearm I ADD my CS45 in a FIST KYDEX iwb holster.

CS45 sometimes, LWS380 always.. :)

Best Wishes,

Jesse

I just applied for my permit last week, and should have it within 90 days. I have not yet made a purchase, and I am doing a lot of research on what I want to look at.

As it were, I'm in medical school, which is kind of a double whammy for "gun-free zones". I'm not ballsy enough or comfortable enough with my ability to conceal a gun for an entire day amidst 160 classmates and numerous faculty. Furthermore, the hospital is University property and is on campus, so once I begin my rotations, I still won't be able to carry. There is no parking on campus for students, so I couldn't even carry it with me until I got to campus and then stash it in the car, which I wouldn't have a problem with.

Also, if I remember correctly, in NC you aren't allowed to carry into health care facilities (it might be non-public facilities), which would mean that more than likely for the rest of my life in NC, I won't be able to carry at work. Still have to come to terms with that one.

I'm carrying my Glock 22 right now.

I carry EVERY time I leave the house.

I was in Chicago Christmas week. Hated every second of it. I was in some neighborhoods where I'd have rather had an MG42 than a handgun. They're that kind of neighborhood precisely because only the criminals and the Chicago PD have firearms... as if there's a difference.

you know me. I carry my Colt 1991 45 ACP from the time I get up till I get home, then I trade it off for my .38 S&W hammerless while im home, then I trade that one off for my GLock with the laser and tak light to set beside me as I sleep. I am never unarmed. have done that since I was 18 so Its become a habbit. I feel naked if I dont have my firearm with me. which is why I always "forget" to dissarm when I go into places that dont allow firarms. well except for the fed buildings where they empty your pockets and have to go through the metal detector.

Regrettably, my employer puts too much stock in lawyers and avoiding some imagined liability. So I can't carry all the time.

In the event of someone ever going postal at work, I have instructed my wife to sue the company for preventing me from defending myself and not providing adequate, substitute security.
