This question is a result of a lot of threads here on THR. Consider it a kind of "state of the union" question.

Not gun related... but, in honesty, criminals. I've never had a cop try to mug me.

People are capable of committing crimes regardless what clothes they wear.

If I don't know you personally, I don't trust you. It doesn't mean I won't respect you, just that I won't unquestioningly place my life in your hands.

There is one other person on this planet I trust with my life. You are not that person.

Also, I don't really feel like I "fear" cops or criminals or anybody in particular. I fear that crime may be increasing and it concerns me. I fear that the founding documents of this country are ever so slowly being eroded and it concerns me. I fear no individual unless they are in the act of trying to do me harm.

Where I'm from there isn't much difference. There are a few good cops that try hard and do a good job and I respect them for it. The rest are criminals with a badge.

I have gotten a lot of tickets but I have never been harassed by cops, even when I was a teenager. Always professional. Never seen one commit a crime personally.

yesit'sloaded, where are you from?

This one won't stay open long, but in answer to your question - yes.

Before it gets closed I fear both. cops more because a criminal will generally only steal from me a Cop can do much more damage. I fear politicians more than both.

I don't fear cops, unless I am traveling through some state that has a history of bad cop stops.

Louisiana used to have some sheriff deputies that were trying to find reasons to confiscate cars if I remember correctly. That was corrected after the national media investigated it.

In my area or where I have lived I have had no reason to fear cops. I am amazed that so many here do fear cops as much as BGs.:confused:

Depends on where you're at and what you're doing. A black man in a small southern town out past dark might have reason to fear the police. I'm white, so I'm just guessing.

I personally don't want to have any interaction with the Chicago Police. The few times I have, or my good friends have it hasn't been pleasant. I have several stories to tell about their blatant corruption (personal experience) that was quite shocking.

I live in a small town in Indiana and the Police here are fine, some of them are my friends and shooting buddies. They too comment on the state of the Chicago Police department... not favorably.
