Who Else Has Finally Figured Out That Sub-Compacts Are a CCW Handicap?

I've had mine since September 2021 and the screen is fine.
I think the majority of people that bought them abhor Apple or wanted something smaller than the other newest phones.
No doubt that size is the selling point. Just curious how durable a folding screen can be.

400,000+ folds in one test. Thats just open/close cycles until it wouldn't stay closed or fully open. The screen was unaffected.

I'm sure some have had it fail at a thousand.

Kinda like "how durable can a plastic pistol be?" :D

Over the past 50 years I have migrated downward in my CCW firearms from a model 58 through a whole range of snubbies and various self loaders. Age and infirmities have led me to downsize to a P365.

I won’t tell it that it’s not a bigger gun if you don’t.

....I think we've reached the same point with sub compact CCW pistols that we reached with cell phones.....
I don't disagree with this. Looking at all of the Micro 9s, I don't see how they can get any smaller without losing some capacity, or get any more capacity without getting bigger.

.... Thoughts? Anyone else thinking of dumping their subcompact CCW guns for something a mid size like a G19? It's all fine to have a smaller, lighter, less bulky carry gun but if you don't shoot it as well, is comfort everything?
I put away my G19 in favor of CCing a Shield 1.0. Now I have a Shield Plus, giving me 13 rounds in lighter package with better ergos, that I shoot better. So, no, that's going to be a no from the Hillbilly Judge (me).

I've went through some carry guns & I am sure before it is over with I will go through some more. When I first decided I wanted to carry I had a Ruger P94 & a Dan Wesson model 15-2. I opted to carry the semi. I spent a lot of time working on learning to shoot the DA/SA trigger on the Ruger. Next I decided I should go striker so I got an XD-40. It was easier for me to shoot better. Then I wanted small so I picked up a Kel-Tec P-11. The pistol had an interesting trigger to learn but was decently accurate. When I tired of the Kel-Tec I picked up a Taurus Millenium Pro PT-111 G2. I decided to ditch it because the blued finish was weak & I really disliked the trigger. I wound up selling the Taurus & the XD & bought a M&P 2.0 40 Compact. It is a nice pistol, I don't mind the trigger & I've always liked the size. Somewhere along the line I bought a Kahr CM9. I've found myself carrying it a lot lately because it is very easy to conceal AIWB. I keep looking at the double stack micro 9's. Sooner or later I will probably wind up with one of them. I like the idea of AIWB carry as it is I believe the most accessible carry position. I don't really want to cram a pistol with a 4" or longer barrel in the front of my pants.
Everything about a handgun is a compromise. I mean if we are really serious about self defense we should all be carrying rifles. The smaller guns that are easier to carry are more ergonomically challenging & tend to have more recoil in the same caliber as a larger gun. The larger guns are more difficult to hide & easier to shoot. That is why for a while I have favored compacts. I honestly don't care about pocket carry. The bottom line is we all make our choices & take our chances. Everything has its pros & cons.

That's funny, I've been carrying the Shield 1.0 for eight years, added a Shield Plus last year that I am carrying today and I want to add a G19 to my rotation. We're at 180 degrees in our gun choices ;-) Same guns, different timeline.
