Who has contacted their Reps?

I have sent emails to both Senators, and my Representative in the House. I have also sent emails to my state legislators, and Governor indicating that on no uncertain terms that I would tolerate any further gun restrictions at the state level, or they'd be fired too.

I wrote my Sen, and got a reply of basically, " Thank You for your input on the upcoming Assault Weapons discussion. We cannot stand by and watch these weapons destroy our society. I will take your input into consideration". Now that sounds like to me " Shuddup, I'm doing it anyway".

Wrote my representative and both senators. Shelby I'm not concerned with, although I did write. I'm not sure of Sessions and Brooks although I think both will be on our side.

Not to hijack the thread but shouldn't we support the Republicans on the "fiscal cliff".As long as it is going, it will keep the new gun laws at bay. The longer we can push it back the better off we will be.
