Man reloading is a sickness...:D

I bought a XD/M 40 and a Ruger LCP JUST because I found lots of empty brass in .40 and .380 at my range... Now I've just purchased a 6.8 SPC and a 7.62x39mm upper from AR Performance, just so I could play with those 2 cartridges.... And I've been eyeing a Ferrett 50 upper for a while now... I'm doomed.....::evil:

Is this normal or am I just deranged?

Dave

Reloading Fettish

I am about to just that,I will soon be the owner of a Stoeger 8000 9mm.I already bought the dies, salvagegd 83 rounds from the range and bought 700 9mm ammo of various mfg.Just waiting for the permit to arrive.Boy do I love to reload.

Reloading Fettish

Don't own a 9mm as of yet,but I just bought Lee 4die set 9mm,700rounds of ammo(to reload when empty)east prime adapter for my press.Waiting for permit to purchase.

I just bought a conversion for my EAA Witness 9mm. Had the dies and most all components before the upper arrived.

guilty...but sometimes i have the dies and than got the gun

32 Long Colt.....and than a short

since i had 32 magnum dies i got a 32 long pistol.....and than a short

and if i had 30 m1 dies i can load for the Nagant
or was it the 32-20 dies? so i got a S&W......and than a Colt Police Positive

Got into reloading to feed my 1911. I got a whole pile of gear from my dad who doesn't shoot much anymore, and there was a bunch of "extra" stuff.

Had a pile of .38 special components, guess I should pick up a nice Model 19. The worst thing was that I didn't like the dies I had, so I ended up getting new dies anyhow.

Geez, that .30-06 die set looks lonely, guess I should get a Garand to keep it company. Now I shoot it more than anything else.

I think the next toy will be an AR, which seems annoying to reload for. I will anyway. The 6.5/6.8/or 45 cal upper might be just so I can reload for it. We'll see.

There's really no hope.

I plead guilty. I did all the pistols and now I am stuck on rifles. Last one was a Win. M70, 30-06. Figured ok, this will last me for several months to work up a load for it. HA!

Second load I tried, I got 1/2" groups at 100 yds and now I am bored to tears and need to buy another caliber to load for.

This is a sickness. :D:D:D:D

I've never bought a gun just to reload for it, but put another way: I have a lot of guns that I would not have bought if I could not have loaded for. I think this is true for many gun owners who are reloaders.

How about not buying a gun because you didn't want to reload for it?

That's what's keeping me from picking up a CZ RAMI...what's the fun in shooting bulk ammo?

Oh yeah............I figure reloading for guns is like raising kids. After the first couple, you don't notice any more.

I have bought rifles because I found a great deal on a set of dies. Yes, it is a sickness :)

Early on I got some .44 Spl brass in a trade for some reloading stuff. No telling how much that $5 or $10 worth of brass has cost me since then.

But it was such cool brass. :D

I like to shoot largebore on BLM land not far from my home. There are also a lot of scattergun shooters out there and I'm starting to look kinda funny at all the shotgun hulls lying around ....:uhoh:

I bought the die set, brass and bullets and had the ammo loaded and waiting for the gun to get to the dealer!

I'm guilty of buying about half fo my gun's and barrels for my TC Contender so I could reload some different calibers. Reloading is nearly as enjoyable as shooting.

You're normal. I picked up around 1,500 pieces of 45 auto brass at the range and had nothing to shoot it in so I had to buy a 1911. Makes perfect sence to me.

I just purchased a 7mm Magnum and have absolutely no need for this gun other than I just happen to have a couple hundred pieces of brass for this gun that I couldn't sell or trade. I like to think I bought this gun because it was a great deal and besides they did just open up a 300yd range where I shoot, but I know deep down it was because I couldn't stand to see that brass just setting there going to waste. Now the search begins for magnum primers, a set of dies, powder............

Not exactly, but I am rebarrelling my Sav. 110 to .300WM because I will be reloading for it. I am looking at a couple barrelled uppers that I would reload for. Reloading makes more things possible/affordable.

Funny this thread should come up now. For the first time in my many years of firearms involvement, I, for the first time, bought a gun mostly for the purpose of reloading for it.

Just yesterday, I bid on and won a Glock 20. If not for the reloading hobby, I would have never considered any gun chambered in 10MM.
