Who is shooting less?

I haven't been to the range since early March. I need to get back, I've been reloading, so I'm starting to get stocked up. Getting low on boolits for some rounds, and those are looking out of stock.

Hi...
Typically go to the range each weekend with my son when the weather permits.
Several hundred rounds downrange each trip.
Only current issue is keeping a supply of commercial cast bullets on hand. Bullet suppliers have been letting me down in that regard.
Powder and primers are not a problem...I do keep them stocked up, usually a couple years worth of shooting.

Shooting a little more because two family members have gotten first guns. Spend a little time with them at the range to try and give a tip or two on how not to shoot the foot off or something. Stocking up a little but not because I'm preparing for war or anything. I'm thinking we not only need a vaccine for virus but for Madness also. Seems a lot of people (with and without guns) have gone purely mad.

Inspired by the "Who is stocking up?" thread, I ask the question who is already reducing the amount of shooting they're doing in response to, or preparation for, the recent shortages due tot the virus and the riots and/or the coming elections?

I am retired and as such made plans to shoot MORE.

That being the case,I generally go to range at least once a week, generally its a few pistols.

Or a few rifles / carbines,or then I go for just shotguns [ not as often as when I was younger ].

9MM,is what I now shoot most in pistol,BUT that does not disallow the wheel guns and the .45's that just insist on coming .

Less. Went to the range yesterday for the first time in at least 3 months. Covid low contact mode was the reason. We went on alert here around the middle of March so I just avoided any social contact that I could. Things are much better now so I feel I can shoot without wearing a mask, just doing the distancing thing. Ammo shortage isn't a concern for me. I just make more when I need it.

I will note however that there were only a few people at the range yesterday. Private club with >500 members in a county with almost a million people. That tells me people just aren't shooting much for whatever reason. Area has been hit hard by unemployment and covid so money and social contact may be the driving factors.

Have plenty of ammo think early March was last time to the range . Ranges are open but I'm still avoiding crowds plus working long hours

I am still shooting weekly, but my use of centerfire calibers has declined significantly. Luckily I have plenty of 22 for a while.

About the same. I have a range on my land so closed ranges aren't a problem. Plenty of ammunition around if you do a little searching. Plenty available for the "Odd" calibers, 9X18 MM, 7.62 X 25 MM and .22 is still everywhere.

Less. WFH actually increased my work hours/exposure. Not helped by having a coworker's spouse get C-19 and die of it, so, we're 5 doing the work of 7 (we've been a hand short for near a year).
Many of the ranges were closed until the Phase 1 or Phase 2 reopenings in Texas, too.
And, it's now well into the upper 90s here in Texas pretty common for 80º "by 8 (0800) and "90 by nine" (0900).
Have snuck out to Wise or Jack County for shooting, but that's been few and far between.

I am shooting less or now, actually might go tomorrow, but it will be the last time till summer is over, Florida summer is here in the 90's now, just too hot to walk the 100 yard lane switching targets.

Didn't shoot any from mid March to end of May due to COVID, which is now spiking again, not gonna do a indoor range because.

Got plenty of ammo though, however won't be buying much more until the crisis buying ends and prices come back down. Just don't see the need of buying a bulk 1000 rd case of 9mm that was $160 in March and is now $270 and so on with other calibers.

odd ball calibers are raised in price now also, SGammo and others were selling Prvi 7.62x54r or 8mm Mauser for $12 to $13 a box in March , now it is $17 a box. .45 Colt, .32 auto, so on all more expensive now.

I haven't been to the range since March, was laid off early February, finally started getting paid late April, my then big bills to pay. I'm now in pretty good shape. I'm not in a free state that allows sending loaded rounds to my home, but have been able to get some reloading supplies. Haven't had much time to load though. Through this whole shut down I did managerial pick up a new to me rifle, umfired m11 savage 243 win. I'm chomping at the hit to sight it in.

Not by choice, or by fault of any overblown virus which equals to dihydrogen oxide contaminating the drinking water supply. The family herd has grown from 4 head plus 8 critters to 5 head plus 8 critters... and all but me and 1 cat are female. It’s been a busy year between swapping jobs, having the baby, dealing with corona at work, buying a new transmission for a new ford (engineered by gm now mind you) blowing up an air conditioner while wife was 8 months pregnant... I haven’t shot much, but I can’t blame it on the virus. 2020 sucks so far, but Friday at 1:40 the year got a hell of a lot better when my first biological child came squalling into the world happy, healthy, and 18 days ahead of schedule.

A whole lot less. Due to circumstances and cover I have not fired a handgun or rifle yet this year. Got in a little trap, sporting clays, and 5 stand, and some good patterning.

Ive been shooting less but fishing more. So ammo/covid etc is unrelated.

Could always go with Hathcock method. Just shoot one shot a day and keep a log. Combined with dry fire or other drills I know itll be more effective than ripping off 365 rounds once a year at watermelons and tube TVs.

I’m still shooting once or twice a week. Didn’t shoot at all in March or April due to COVID.

Busier now than pre covid. Seems plumbers and electricians are essential. Short on employees at work. Private range closed for now. So more $$$$ for ammo/supplies but no time to shoot. Still get a couple hours a week at a local pit though.

one could say i am shooting more ,all because i am tiring to find that one loading that works amazingly well . when thats found then there is no reason to keep shooting . i do have a TC-E in 708 that has a rough bore that i am wondering if maybe some fire lapping could help smooth it out . its likely what i will be doing this coming week
