I know that Remington makes the 700 in .35 Whelen, and CZ makes their turn bolt in 9.3 Mauser, but who else? I don't like set triggers, so don't want a CZ, and I've never liked Remington 700s. I don't know why Winchester does not make a Model 70 in at least one of these increasingly popular calibers.

It's my understanding that the CZ has a single set trigger. Push it forward to set it, if you want, otherwise it's just a normal trigger. So, if you don't like set triggers, just use it normally, and you'd never know it had a set trigger.

And you have to try really hard to get someone to say something bad about a CZ...

In otherwords, I'd recommend you take another look at the CZ... It's available in the "American" and full-stocked versions. That full-stock looks really nice. Now where'd I leave that $700 lying around?

Rem. makes the new 700 CDL in 35 Whelen...pretty sharp looking gun too.

Randy

PS... Just noticed you already mentioned it, but the CDL is styled a bit different than a regular 700 if you'd still consider it.
