.35 Whelen: What do you think?

The .35 Brown-Whelen was developed by C. Norman Brown in the late '60s in Alaska. It's a fire-formed case that takes almost all the taper out of the case, blows the shoulder well forward, and gives it a pretty steep angle. Case capacity is increased by about 11% over the parent case.

Bigfoot Wallace will drive a 225-grain Nosler Partition Jacket at a hair over 2800 fps.

Vern Humphrey,

How does it differ from the Improved? AFIK the AI version does the same thing with the taper and shoulder. Since both are reloading only propositions which would be the most practical?
I know that .35 Whelen factory ammo can be fired in an AI rifle with a slight loss in velocity and you still end up with a fire formed AI case. Can the same be done with the Brown Whelen?

A 225 gr Nosler Partition at 2700-2800fps? I like that.......magnum performance without those infernal belts.
