Who said you need a gun to rob a bank?

Here in Taiwan, where guns are illegal, a man tried to rob a bank today... with a water bottle filled with gasoline..

He ran into the bank, threw a bag over the counter, and demanded it be filled with money or else he will light his little make-shift motolv-cocktail...

He was later arrested; contents of the bottle:

about 75% of it was gasoline, and 25% dirty motor oil.. A nice 1/2 litre bottle.. If lit, he wouldn't have a hand anymore; and the chance of it seriously injuring someone was serious..

So the whole "no guns = no bank robberies" is just straight BS... here's a fine example...

<Insert Liberal rant> That's why we need tougher laws on gun control, so this type of thing doesn't ever happen again.. :barf:

They'll blame it on guns even if there was no gun involved... time to ban gasoline I guess...

Those damn gun owners, first it's the 2nd Amendment, now they want the right to 1/2 litre bottles and gasoline!!! I mean, in the words of Feinstein ".500 litres of gasoline is more firepower then anybody possibly needs. What we need is SENSIBLE gasoline control. We are not talking a ban, we are talking.. SENSIBLE control... What we need is gasoline registration, so this type of thing doesn't happen again.."

You guys are going a little overboard ...

Banning gasoline is a ridiculous suggestion. All you really need is a seven day waiting period before you can buy gas ...

Hmm, reduced capacity bottles, gasoline waiting periods, oil bans? One problem: It would inconvenience Feinstein and her like, therefore they would never advocate their restriction. Until of course some insanely expensive hydrogen powered car was available for her and her ilk who could afford it... THEN it's time to ban gas... 'for the people's safety' of course.

No, no, no. This is all silly talk. We simply need to provide an incentive to gas companies to develop non-flammable gasoline. Who needs gasoline that burns? We just need it to run our cars.

He drilled a hole in the cap, and pulled a rag through, and so had he lit it... errr... that "fuse" would have been VERY short!!

Banning gas is not a good idea; it's not broad sweeping enough. Ban... PLASTIC!!
