So I'm watching on TV here in taiwan, which is rare as I don't own one, was at a restaurant and only paid attention because it happened in the next town over...

2 guys run in, point a gun at some screaming tellers, and get some money. Police chase ensues, and the bank robbers (on a motorcycle) are cut off by a police blockade.. The driver (tries) to make an emergancy turn, and skids, slides under a car, and both have some 30+ bones broken.. They had so many broken bones in fact, that the ambulance had to use like a "big putty knife" to scrape them up, as they couldn't lift them. The police were fingerprinting them while on the stretcher, as they police had doubts they'd live to see the light of the next day...

SOOOO...

The Bank Spokesman comes out, and assures their customers that their bank is "just as safe as other banks". Except they are the bank that keeps getting robbed.. WHY?!?!

"We don't have security cops that have guns because we feel that an armed police does not portray a safe banking environment for our customers. Thus it is our policy to not use armed guards."

So... let me get this straight..

An armed security guard who's job is to protect the customers is seen as a "hostile banking environment" but frequent bank robberies is "safer"...

:barf: :banghead:

Glad someone cleared that one up for me.. Sheeple thinking will guarantee a headache everytime..
