Anyone have a link to that prison study? I've heard similiar references before and it would be nice to actually read the real thing.

I just prefer the BFD for those that dont get it D is for Dog

I may be in the minority on this one.

I have a pair of slightly modified (read: spayed) matching numbers, JRT's (Jack Russel Terriers)-- The ORIGINAL Tactical Terrier (TM)

They are best aimed with a laser device or spotting round (read: tennis ball)

On the surface, it seems that ammo is cheap, but soon you will be getting into match-grade Beef Jerky and that blows that all to hell.

If Josey EVER figures out where Jerky comes from, I may have to get into "reloading" as she will be bringing components home whenever I let her out.

While they are a compact design, you will notice heavier-than-expected recoil due to the "jumpiness" of the platform.

As long as you treat them nicely, they are self-lubricating and will likely lubricate you as well via the snout-mounted licking attachment.

However... be warned. There are some drawbacks to this platform.

One of mine seems to have a tendency to run very dirty, and I am often having to do a through cleaning of whatever died and she rolled in.

They are almost impossible to conceal. Whenever I take my pair out in the vehicle, one typically prefers the "Shoulder carry" where she is drapped around my neck. The other prefers the lap carry where she stands in my lap and looks over the steering wheel.
