Who's Going To Friendship?

Well with my "Bell's Palsy " thing my trip has been on and off. Still can't see
well enough to drive for very long or shoot. But the daughter and wife are
looking forward to it and no matter my condition, I can't and won't take that
away from them. At my age "Almost 70" my trips there I can count on one hand. So the games afoot. It's on. We are going. I just can't resist the daughter's baby blue eyes when she said " But Dad, I just got to go to Friendship to shoot and see my friends" Any of you yahoos going? Weather
looks to be nice. It's a 600 mile trip for us. Second week of June. 9th-17th
I think. If anybody's going look me up on the Pistol line. We will be there all
week. I'm the one not shooting with the droopy eye and lip. CU

Maybe I'll be there for a few days during the week. It'll be a last minute trip, though. Will buy you a cuppa for sure if I can make it.

Good idea Pancho! I'll probably be there, wearing a name tag would be a spectacular idea! Of course I've got a bit of a distinct look, I'm usually wearing my hat with some bullets in it when I go to shoot. I'll wear it to friendship, just don't sneak up and startle the crap outta me! "Oh my gosh, is that you Busyhands94?" Haha!

Meeting some fellow THR members would be very cool!

Good thing to hear that a "West Coaster" will be able to make it to our little shoot in the " Midwest". I'm trying to make it on the first Sunday with my wife and grandkids. I'll be wearing a Pancho tag just to make it true.

We won't be arriving until Wednesday. Will stay until Sunday. Will be on the
pistol range. They shut down each day at noon until 1:00 for lunch. There
is a dinner at the pistol range Thursday night starting at 6o. We will be there. Everybody on the pistol line knows us. Phil & Paulette. Don't forget
the daughter Halie. There always are quite a few of pistols for sale in the
pistol shed. Everybody who shoots will be wearing a name tag. You have to.
Don't forget the flea markets. Goos source for guns. Bring lots of money.

What a blast from the past! I haven't been to Friendship since the mid-70's...one of the most enjoyable & interesting weekends I've ever spent. There are truly a lot of great craftsmen there. Bring lots of money is right!

Don't know if it's true or not, but I had heard that at one point the event had been largely taken over by a biker crowd that a lot of people felt detracted from the event. Any truth to that? Don't get me wrong...I love to ride...you just have to listen to make sure mine is running

Was definitely not the case when I was there two years ago.

Maybe the flea market, on some weekends, but that event is not associated with the NMLRA, and is not on NMLRA property.

On a completely different note, I read on another forum GOEX wil be $16 a pound during the matches for members, and last month's Muzzleblast indicated the magazine will be open daily from noon to 4pm, on 9 & 10 June, from noon to 2 pm June 11 thru June 16.
