Who's got a Bushmaster?

Who owns a Bushmaster and are you happy with it. Is it accurate enough for you? Is it reliable. Had another post about Bushmaster or Rock River. Found a good deal on a Bushmaster. Want to make a good decision before shelling out the cash. Thanks for the help!

I have two of 'em. If I was going to but another AR type rifle I would not hesitate on a third Bushmaster.

Bushmaster ... Rock River ... both are good quality. If the deal for the Bushie is good, go for it, but frankly you'll likely be just as happy with either brand.

I've owned both and the only reason I prefer the Bushmaster I currently own is because it has a JP trigger in it

I've got one, as well as a Stag, Rock River, and a couple that are pieced together from various parts (including complete uppers and lowers from bushmaster).

All of mine run well, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from any of those companies.

I've got a Bushy. It could use a trigger job to lighten the trigger a little, but otherwise it's outstanding.

Mine are 100% relaible and amazingly accurate. I also have a Colt. The Bushmaster is better quality.

Bushmaster does not manufacture there own parts there, basically they buy the parts and then just put them together. But Im not knocking Bushmaster I have there A3 model and I realy like it, had to send it back once for some barrel issues but they were promt and I got it back within a week. Overall though I pretty satisfied with my Bushy, Rock River makes another good one and they are very reasonably priced.

I've got half of one. The other half is at Bushmaster having the front sight indexed to the receiver. But they were real nice about it. Should have it back soon. Also have a Colt SP1 and a Colt target upper on a MEGA lower. The BM is good but I prefer the Colts. I got the BM cause of the last election and I wanted someting as evil looking as I could get. Its the carbine with all the disliked features.

My first and only AR is a Bushmaster w/ 16" barrel and A2 sights. 100% reliable over the past several years with milsurp ammo (M193) and LaBelle mags. Palm-sized groups at 100 yards with iron sights. I'd certainly buy another one.

I've got an A3 from Bushmaster, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Superbly accurate for me, (especially with my ACOG ). It had 1 failure to extract in the first 100 rounds, and the 2000 or so since have had no problems whatsoever. Great rifle, if the deal is good on it, all the better.

My wife has an M4 A3.

Quality is O.K. - Not oustanding. But then again, they don't cost an arm and and a leg.

I have a A3, haven't shot it much yet, pretty happy with it- I kind of wish I would have spent a bit more for their DCM rifle. Only concern of mine is that I had to move the windage about 1/3 of the way to the right to zero it, not sure if its a barrel indexing problem or not.

Bought an M4gery version this summer and now have about 800 rounds through it. Accuracy with M193 ball type ammo is excellent. Stock trigger is the usual heavy, draggy AR trigger. Replaced it with a match trigger which made a tremendous difference in the shootability of the rifle.

The Compact ACOG helps a lot, too.

Recently bought two more for the "kids" but with better eyesight they can get their own ACOGs. Will be installing the same match trigger in those but that will be it.

You could consider this an endorsement. (First encountered the M16 type rifles in 1966 courtesy of USAF and owned a Colt carbine years back--so I am familiar with them.)

I like my Bushy. I haven't been able to find out quite how accurate it is yet (getting a new contact lens prescription in a week or so ). At this point it shoots better than I do with iron sights. Build quality seems decent in my limited experience.

I've got an M4-style (that's just short for 16" and the odd-looking stock, innit?), A3 top. I have a difficult time getting a good cheek/shoulder position with it stock, so I'll have to get some kind of riser or scope on it soon.

Other than that, no complaints at all. Never a problem loading, shooting or ejecting yet.

just yesterday between me and my dad we shot a total of 620rds through our bushmasters. he in the past has owned three and i have owned two we love ours and they have been totally reliable, and a hoot to shoot.we currently own one a piece. you should have seen us, we were doing all kind o good stuff. definetly a good day of trainning for him. i nor he had any malfunctions the whole day of shooting. most was shot from 25meters and closer in rapid succession doing cqb drills, transitions etc. the barrel got warm but they never slowed down one bit.

the only thing that sucked was that my red-dot batteries died on me and i had to use the irons, but that is cool with me i don't mind to terably bad, and now i think i don't even need the red dot and might not mind getting rid of it!

they are great rifles and i am sure that you will be very pleased if you buy one!

I've got an M4A3 with over a thousand rounds through it.

It has never had any type of malfunction, and I will admit that I have used cheap ammo (Winchester white box, UMC yellow box, Wolf, and some other brands I've never heard of that were at the local shop) and I have sometimes not cleaned it between range visits.

I had a complete Bushmaster, ended up selling the upper, still use the lower. Zero problems with it.

Never had a complete RRA, but I have one of their lowers on my 6.8mm DPMS upper. Again, runs fine with no drama, issues or complaints.

Go with a Bushmaster and be confident in knowing that you have a quality firearm with a good reputation in the AR shooting community.

Many say go Colt, or you are settling...this is far from the case. Rock River is another quality choice, as well as Stag (especially for lefties).

I've had 4 AR15s, two of which were Busmasters. Currently I still have one.
No complaints about them.

If I get another, it wouldn't be a Bushmaster, but that's because I want to assemble my own.
