At the FL State IDPA match, Bear Creek Supply was handing out samples of their bullets. After trying them, I ordered up 2K of the 45ACP 200SWC. $81/K delivered.

Here's my question; When reloading, the moly makes my fingers slippery. What can I do to get a better grip?

Not wanting to start a "Flame", but that sounds like a personal problem to me??

I tried some coated 9mm and 45ACP versions from Precision [http://www.precisionbullets.com/] a year or more ago. They shipped them really fast and it was the BEST bullet packing job I've ever seen. I thought they shot well, but for less money (at that time) I could get plated bullets from Berry or jacketed bullets from Magnus. There was also a lot more smoke (even without the lube) and they were over size like lead which gives my CZ some reloading difficulties.

In the end I went back to jacketed. I saw no huge advantage considering the price differential with plated and jacketed, and the extra smoke the others don't exhibit.

I tried some Precision and Bear Creek bullets some time back. The Precision bullets were much cleaner to handle. Both shot well.

Nowhere Man, I have loaded thousands and thousands of Bear Creek moly bullets, and I love 'em! I have not found a solution to the slippery finger issue. Cotton gloves are too clumsy. Nytril is better, but not much. You might try New Skin, but it seems like it may be a nuisance for short sessions.

Bear Creek

The Nitrile gloves work the best for me. I've used the Master Blasters now known as BB Intl and they are very accurate and have a minor increase in velocity but initially very dirty to load and shoot. The Precision bullet has high shoulders so was problematic for loading in a Springer 45. Their problem was supply and delivery. I find the Bear creeks very affordable, prompt in delivery and less of an issue with loading for multiple 45acp guns. Yes your fingers get dirty but that is less of an issue with gloves and only more so with the BB Intl. The Nitrile gloves will last longer than regular surgical gloves.

I just tried some BB Int bullets (9MM & .38) and they had a nasty black acrid smoke when fired. Really nasty. That was not an issue with the Bear Creek or Precision bullets.
