Hello all, RON L here
While I don't really Need a Select fire weapons! I have owned one and it was fun! Yes, as a Military member it was fun shooting tons of Uncle Sams ammo and it did have some limited applications! Part of why I owed one was to EXPERIENCE the ownership, and see how it was copared to the MYTHS I'd been hit with in past, It was easy to get, and then I had a 1928 Thompson with mags and drum, I paid less than 7K fr it them and sold years laster for near 3X my investment! I was traveling in and out of the country on duty so keeping it became more of a chore! Yes, it's a right to have one, but one that comes with some headkes and a lot of that was the ATF, I wish the NRA had not sold out MG and SMG owners so many times? They saw the Full Auto Owners as not part of the "CLUB" and didn't work hard enough to keep the feds from making it more difficult, more expensive and many states jumped on that bandwagon and don't allow legal ownership as well! That said, it is enjoyable and some day I own another, if nothing else just to make the ATF's job a little more complex! I see no reason to help them in anything and they don't deserve anything but our contempt! No, they didn't make ownership that mush harder but the fact they were allowed to do so at all angers me! Just another way Gov enjoys the ability to do things routinly that you and I have to go through more to have and own? God Forbid yours is ever stolen or used ina crime, I'm sure thats a nightmere that won't be easy no mater what firearm is involved, but i'm betting if it's select fire the complications are far worse? Ditto the hassles from the Police as wlel as ATF?
