I'm looking for a decent holster for my S&W model 65-3, 4 inch

I'd prefer leather, but willing to look at other options.

I'd also prefer an OWB holster that pulls in close to your body.

ideas?

 I am unsure why it would be difficult to find a holster for a four-inch K-Smith. It should fit in anything made for the 19 or 66, even though the barrel is thinner due to not having an ejector rod shroud. The frames and cylinders are still the same and should provide more than sufficient retention even without a thumb break.

Check Don Hume; Rafter S (I think) also makes holsters for 4-inch K-Frames.

Check also J&S Holsters.

Don't a lot of gunstores have a big box of old, fully functional holsters? I went to one today, and bought two for a 4" 65-2 for $20 total. One's an old police-issue-type basketweave Bianchi with thumbreak, the other's a minimalist thing from South Africa for a S&W 6" L-frame.

That's similar to it. As you can see, the leather doesn't cover the muzzle, so there's a fair amount of variation permissible in barrel length.
Pretty sure L-frame holsters in general fit K-frames, FWIW.

Oh. A comprehensive-ish list of online holster makers:

Check out a Bianchi 7 Shadow. It's a 3-slot OWB holster that pulls the gun in close to your body. Only $49.49 from MidwayUSA.com
