Why do I feel the need to own a Glock?

Years ago I decided there were some 9x19 handguns I wanted to own just to own one. G17, Hi Power, Berretta 92, etc. I don't think there is anything wrong with adding a gun just to own one. I like having lots of different handguns and being able to compare and contrast them. I of course have my go to gun and my favorites but nothing wrong with owning a variety. I have six or seven different makes of 9mm pistols. Within them I have full size to sub compacts, different designs: striker fired, DOA, DA/SA, metal and polymer. I like having a variety. Its also led to be being pretty amused when people act like one brand or model is head and shoulders better than everything else.

In sum, if you want the glock, get it.
I'm thinking this is the best summary of my thoughts. There some 9mms that I just want to own, and like was said then I can first hand choose and develop my favorites. Problem is after I get the glock I'm gonna want a hi power, and then maybe a beretta. Does it ever end?

DO NOT BUY A GLOCK.

I did.

Now, I want to sell all my other pistols and only own Glocks.

:)

Seriously, they are the best damn things I've ever owned. And, that's coming from someone who only buys top-quality stuff. I always thought I'd be a forever Sig guy, and I still love Sigs, but I'll be damned if the Gen 4 Glocks aren't the perfect guns for me.

I own a G17, G19, and G26. I'll probably buy another G19 and G26. For backups, and I'm one of those people who likes to have a gun stashed in every room in the house. ;)

I have recently filled all my percieved niches for handguns in my life. I've got a p225 for carry and home defense and a Diamondback db9 for deep carry/bug. I am working on mastering these two guns. I love these guns and they are doing exactly what I want them to do (imo). For some reason I feel some kind of force drawing me to purchase a Glock 9mm, probably a G19. Owning my sig and the glock would be redundant imo. I think glocks are ugly and I'm not very fond of full size polymer frame guns. I've never shot a glock and was wondering if any glock owners or sympathizers out there own one just for the sake of owning a glock. I would also like your reasoning that I should or shouldn't get a G19 to add to my little arsenal (Is there a niche for a glock that I haven't realized needed filling? Lol). Thanks for the replies.
Perhaps it's older gent kinda thing.....like New Balance shoes, polo shirts and khaki pants?

I used to strongly dislike Glock. Then I took a class, shot one. Now I own and carry daily a G30 SF. Best darn pistol I have. Accurate, reliable, accessories out the wazoo. Beat it up? So. Drop it? Ok. Point and pull the trigger, one hole groups all day. I like the hell out of my compact Glock .45. Try the 30 SF. I dare you not to like it.

I find the grip angle and grip itself uncomfortable. My G22 always worked fine, I just didn't like the way it felt in my hand.

I've owned 5 Glock 19s. I've really tried to like that gun. Other 9mm and .40sw Glocks, too. They are a simple, cheap, reliable tool. But, I just plain shoot other 9mm guns better. Big fan of the Glock 30 and 1911 though.
