Why do we WAIT to get attacked on the Second Amendment?

When the vast majority of the people silently agree that Rosa Parks should stop being uppity, and sit quietly in the back; its dang hard to make any advancement on basic human rights.

Yep, we need to convince some of the "gun rights" supporters in the US congress to sponsor a bill eliminating the "sporting purposes" clause of the GCA 1968. Every time i write one of our congress critters a letter asking him to support such legislation i never get an answer.
