Looking forward to seeing Biden in my rear view mirror, and primers just up ahead.
I don’t reload at the moment. It’s because I can’t find LRM primers. Will they return when biden is in the past?
No… it started Exactly on November 4th at 12AM EST 2020 ! and will end Next Month with the 3 primer factory that was supposed to open 2 years agoThe current component shortage started long before the change in the administration. The shortage is our fault, thanks to unfounded fears and internet hype, huge increases in firearm possesion and a product of the stoppages in workplaces during Covid along with the corresponding current distribution issues. I have a feeling that components will only come back to normal availability, when production and distribution catches up with demand. Neither political party has anything to do with that.

1000% agree!Where the 'ell were you before that? Certainly not trying to buy reloading components. Maybe it's because you didn't join a gun forum till January of 21 and had no knowledge? Shortages were going on for more than a year before that.
........ah, now you are starting to understand supply and demand, and the real reason for component shortages. Doubt very much of we will see the shortage end and prices drop in one month.
Also, I don’t try to convince people to reload. Don’t tell them the benefits and the relative safety of reloading. If they want to… I’m all help, but they need to take the 1st step and buy gearI make no "excuses" for why I don't reload. And why would I have to make an excuse to do something that for me, would be recreational in nature, and cannot be "required" of me. I did reload, once upon a time. Maybe will again someday, never say never.
I grow weary of the same old holier-than-thou chastising coming from some reloaders.
Money spent on factory ammunition isn't a factor, as we have put our kids through college, have no debt, sufficient savings and still a lot of disposable income.
My time is worth something to me. That's the biggest thing. Also, I want way cooler stuff in my man cave than all my reloading equipment and supplies. Now that I'm retired (again), I wish to spend my time doing things that I find enjoyable. And frankly, I never really enjoyed reloading to begin with. I haven't shot any competition in years, and I'd rather spend time shooting that getting ready to shoot. And my current stockpile will see me and mine through the zombie apocalypse.
In the immortal words of Peter Gibbons in the classic motion picture Office Space,"It's not that I'm lazy, Bob, I just don't care."
I spent 30 hours setup a new progressive press to make 200 rounds of .223! So it really cost me about $15 a roundI bought 3K rnds of 7.62x39 for under $1k. 3500 rnds of .40 S&W for $1100 and 1K rnds of .22lr for $80 or so. all prices shipped to my door.
The amount of my time invested was under 1 hour.
