I've been searching several shooting supply sites on the web looking to price reduced recoil shotgun loads...can't seem to find them. For example, I got a Midway catalog today and looked under shotgun ammo: nothing as far as reduced recoil/tactical ammo.
What's the deal on this?
Where do you buy it from?

Thanks.

Chris says :Tactical ammo is more lethal than full, knock your fillings out, loads.

Huh? Can you 'splane that?

I have shot 'tactical' loads, and lots of regular stuff. I can't for the life of me figure out how the 'tactical reduced load' would be more 'lethal'.

Give http://www.natchezss.com a try. Ive ordered most of my shotgun buckshot from Natchezss, and thier prices are good and thier selection excellent.
When I was patterning my 870 hd, I bought about 12 different loads, and I just ordered another 4 brands to try in my new 870, once I get it up and running.

I don't buy reduced recoil loads, but when I buy ammo I just go to my local dealer. I tell him what I want, he pulls out his catalog, I point out the specific item and he orders it. The next Friday, I pick it up.

i agree. your local dealer should be able to get just about anything with the exception of maybe the exotic hoopla.

You folks with good local dealers count yourself fortunate....oh well.
I live in NYC and wouldn't give my local dealers a dime of my bizz except under duress..one is a complete dump and the other disdains civilian customers, has no customer service to speak of, and will not consider special orders for firearms or anything else. I'll spend my $$ elsewhere.

In fact I'll be ordering about 1000 rds of pistol ammo from Natchez shortly, so maybe that's a good time to include some SG shells to save on shipping. Problem is, I've looked through their SG ammo selections before I started this thread....I couldn't locate ANY tactical/reduced recoil ammo on their site.

Poked around a bit and found this page which lists both 00 and #4 tactical loads. I didn't see any for other brands, though.
