Absolutely, while I have a few pistols/scatterguns, rifles comprise almost the entirety of my collection. I see them as useful tools whereas I see other firearms as a means to an end (mostly for SD/HD). Besides I consider myself a pretty decent rifleman, whereas I am simply "proficient" or "good enough" with other arms. A great deal of this likely has to do with my preference for rifles, but its mighty hard to ring the steel at 1k with a Glock. I also see them as the more "noble" firearm, if that makes any sense...not to say that other forms of arms are inherently evil in any way (I like stuff that goes bang in most any form), just that rifles are what I think of as what the common man uses to protect the farm. Having my grandparent's (on both sides of the family) rifles that were used for just that is probably a significant contributing factor.
