WI: interesting press release from anti-CCW Dem

Can anyone get post-beating crime scene and victim photos of folks that might not have been vistimised had they been allowed CCW. These would be nice to stamp with "Victim of Violence without CCW" in red, then put in large envelopes and send to legislators.

Maybe they just don't understand what is at stake.

While I might get the point of Oleg's posters, they looks staged, which they are. Nothing speaks the truth like the honest-to-goodness truth.

"Quote #2: "We do not need more guns in Milwaukee," he said. "This bill will likely increase the number of people getting killed." "

They said this when Florida passed CCW in 1986
They said this when Tennessee passed Handgun Parry Permit.
They have said this every state for twenty-six, twenty-seven states, and
IT JUST DID NOT HAPPEN.

On the Texas Concealed Handgun Law:
John Holmes, former Harris County district attorney:
“As you know, I was very outspoken in my opposition to the passage of
the Concealed Handgun Act. I did not feel that such legislation was in
the public interest and presented a clear and present danger to law
abiding citizens by placing more handguns on our streets. Boy was I
wrong. Our experience in Harris County, and indeed state-wide, has
proven my initial fears absolutely groundless.”

Glenn White, president of the Dallas Police Association:
“I lobbied against the law in 1993 and 1995 because I thought it would
lead to wholesale armed conflict. That hasn't happened. All the horror
stories I thought would come to pass didn't happen. No bogeyman.
I think it's worked out well, and that says good things about the
citizens who have permits. I'm a convert.”

The antis in Wisconsin will have a chance to learn.

Route to Capitol???

Is there anyone familiar with the Madison & the Capitol that can suggest the easiest or quickest route and parking lot/garage that I should go to first?

I know where it is and how to get there but I'm wondering if there is a specific road to look for near the Capitol. I'm coming from Milwaukee and will be taking 151 down to the Capitol but then what???

You can go up 151 to the capitol and turn right on webster or pickney streets. These are basically two roads which, if you keep turning left, circle around the capitol. There are numerous parking ramps around the area, though you may end up walkint a block or two.

Just before you hit the square, you'll come to Webster street. Take a right on webster, and basically follow it around the outside of the square. Two blocks later, the street will take a sharp left hand turn and become Dayton Street. (You can take the left from the right hand lane, and it'll leave you set up for your next turn) Three blocks up Dayton, and you'll see the big parking ramp at Dayton and Carroll, on your right. Take a right on Carroll and an immediate left into the ramp. Once you're parked, head southwest on foot 'til you hit state street, turn left on state and walk towards the big dome shaped building that smells like cow manure.

Is there going to be anyone giving updates from the Capitol?? Someone has to have a mobile device to keep us updated.

I am from Minnesota and keeping my fingers crossed. Please do some of us a favor, if/when it does pass, can someone provide a good link to the exact wording of the bill that passed.
