Hej! looking at midway and doesnt understand wich plug screws I need. I want to plug the holes after my iron sights on my remington 700 BDL (1982)

There is three seize: 10-32 x 1/8 and 8-40 x 1/8 and 6-48 x 1/8

Do I need all seizes? To clearify, I need 4 screws to fill the holes from from front and rear iron sight

6-48 TPI x 1/8" is what you need.

Any gunsmith or decent gun shop should have a bunch of them.

Just discovered when checking that the rear sight holes are deeper than the front ones...

It doesn't matter.

Plug screws do not bottom out in the holes.

All they do is plug the holes.

Put a tiny drop of BLUE Lock-Tight on each plug screw.
Screw it in until flush with the barrel, and leave it be 12-24 hours until the L-T kicks over.

You can even 'clock' or align the screw slots with the barrel if you are OCD enough!!

Gee RC, that's exactly what I did back in the 70's! Brings back memories over my old gunshop. Thanks

Also they made two different styles. One had a head which I did not like as it could not be aligned with the barrel. The other was a straight plug screw, this was the one like RC said you put a drop of loctite on and aligned with the barrel.
