My wife started off with a Taurus revolver MANY moons ago, and her last wheelgun was a Smith 19 snub. Her current carry is not a revolver, though.

My wife carries a checkbook and our credit cards and she knows how to use them.

If she wants a gun she'll select and buy one.
 
All depends where my wife is going and what she's carrying in: purse; fanny pack; IWB; etc. It's either a S&W Model 36 2" Square Butt, S&W Model 36 3" Square Butt, a Ruger SP101 2" .38 special, a Ruger SP101 3" .357, Taurus PT58S .380, Walther PPK .380, Kahr CW9 9MM or Taurus PT92 9mm. She like her pistols.
