So I have been look at the glock 30s for weeks and the wife said go get it for valentine's day:D. I had a glock 30 about 8 years ago that I regret getting rid of. The slide was just to big for comfortable iwb carry (For me). The 30s seems to have solved all my gripes as a carry gun not to mention the new hybrid holsters seems to work well with this gun. I went yesterday and got one and cannot wait to go shoot it. Carrying it around the house seemed perfect just about like my 23.
I debated about getting the 30sf but I really don't plan to use conversation barrels in this one so that was my deciding factor to get the 30s. Any reduction in weight is always nice too.
I will post pictures once I get to the range.

Your wife seems ok, maybe you should keep her and not trade her in on those two 20-year olds.

My wife and I were out for Valentines Day and she noted that I have not been spending any money on hobbies .... "What gun are you saving for?"

So I have a Glock23-gen4, my first .40sw. I have 9mm's, grips seem more important on the .40sw. I am wondering how aggressive of grips I would need on a Glock30. I do not have big oversized mits for hands.

Do you do anything with the grips for shoot-ability?

Swanee.

I have a couple gen 4s and I like them, but it is the over size magazine release I like best. I do not wear a under shirt when I carry. With that said the gen 4 is not as comfortable when carrying because of the texture and took getting used too. I normally do not change the grips on mine; however, if I did it would be talon grips so it wouldn't add to the grip much.

I have 9mm dies and a Frankford Arsenal media separator on the way. Wife and I decided that 25-30 bucks was the limit this year so I sent her a few links of stuff in that range. She said she got both because I have been helping with her online classes.

It was a good Valentines day for me too. Wife came with me to the LGS and I left with a CZ75BD. Roses sometimes pay off.
