I have been using some pretty shoddy belts and am noticing the sag at the end of the day, and the wiggle when drawing and holstering my CCW.

I have been doing some research and have come across this belt a lot. Is there a belt that matches its quality and is cheaper is this belt the best bang for your buck?

If not do any of you have one thats used for sale? :p

I've used a Wilderness for years for IDPA, but it's awkward in 'real life', IMHO.

The new Propper 180 belt is essentially the same two layers of nylon with five rows of stitching, but with a 'normal' plastic buckle. Doesn't scream 'gun!', although you couldn't dangle from it off high things. :) Runs about $14, and a great deal, IMHO.

I've used the same Wilderness Instructor belt (1-3/4" with stiffener) for about 7 years now without signs of it wearing out. Wore it every day for about 3 years, now just wear it for matches. Kind of hard to argue the price when you get that much use out of it. What's that? $10 per year and falling? :)

I've had one for a few years. They really are well made. The difference between it and a thick leather belt from Cabela's I was using is like night and day. The Wilderness Belt is that good. I have the regular buckle 5-stitch belt. I would get the 5-stich or CSM belt if you are using it for a gun belt.

Some folks have recommended the belt from Talon Tactical to me, but I think they are probably about the same, at least with the "Frequent Flyer" belt.

Some will recommend the Cobra buckle type belts, but while they may be easier to undo, they seem too complicated to get your gear on the belt, at least to me.

Thanks guys! I just got a wilderness belt with the 5 stitch for 37$ shipped off ebay thats brand new. I will try out the proper 180 too because if its essentially the same its a screamin deal.

I have been using a crummy belt so i bet its going to be like night and day

I have the wilderness belt , love it. Worth every penny, but I use it casually with shorts. For jeans and nicer attire I have a belt man , they are also nice but much more pricey

There is a fair bit of flexibility in the fit. I've gone from size 34 pants to size 38 and back again without ever having any problems using my belt with any, or no, carry gear.

Now, my belt is a size 39.

Typically, when using their measuring guide you get a belt that is marked 3" - 4" larger than your jean size. I think they say it should be good plus or minus about 2" of the marked size.
