Better for what?
Better for legal concealed handgun carry about town, of coarse
It seems to go well with any item of clothing, even shorts and tucked in T-shirts. Business casual or casual. Just about the only item of clothing that would not go well with this is formal wear, as in a suit and tie, but I only wear a suit and tie to the office and I never carry to the office because we have several armed guards in the building with RFID security access cards, fingerprint access control, bullet resistant glass, a panic room, plus the dreaded 30.06 sign (a sign that legally forbids all handguns). If I have to go to the occasional formal function away from the office, I'll just carry my Kel-Tec in a pocket holster, I guess. I don't like the Kel-Tec because it jams sometimes, but it is useful for pocket carry regardless of any type of dress. If possible, I'd like to carry a Glock 19 most of the time that I'm carrying because it is a more powerful round, carries more ammo, and is more reliable (never jammed, ever).
99% of the time that I'm not at the office, I'm dressed casual or business casual (shorts with tucked in T-shirt, or slacks and tucked in dress shirt). It seems like this would be a good way to carry a legal concealed handgun.
I just want to know if anyone else has used this before for concealed carry. I am hoping that it would pass as a "fag bag" (I'm hetero 100%, though) or murse (male purse). Perhaps, if I rip off the "Wilderness TACTICAL" label and have a seamstress sew on a peace sign or something, no one would know that there's a gun in there.
Also, if I'm out exercising (riding bicycle or at the gym), there's a fanny pack version that I could wear. It would be impossible to carry a gun inside spandex pants, otherwise. Basically, I want to be able to use one mode of carry for 95% of the time or more with zero change in the way I dress. I'd also like to carry at least a Glock 19 or bigger while doing it, too. For the 5% of the time when I cannot do so, I'll use my Kel-Tec P3AT. It is not as good as the Glock 19, but it is so small, you could just about stash it anywhere. You could literally stick the Kel-Tec inside a box of cigarettes and use that as a carry holster. You could put your Kel-Tec inside a waterproof diver's case and clip/sew it to the front inside of your speedos and be carrying your Kel-Tec while swimming underwater. You could put your Kel-tec inside a solid cigarette box (not the paper ones, but a fancy solid one) and rubber band it to the top of your tank tops and play basketball and never worry that the gun would fall out like you would if you had a pocket holster. There would be enough spare room inside the cigarette case, that you could store one or two cigarettes in there with the kel-tec in case a real smoker wanted to bum a smoke.
So, anyone ever used a Wilderness Tactical Safepacker Holster before, would you recommend it, and why? Thanks for the info.
