Hey guys, my girlfriend just bought her first handgun, a CT9. I have been looking online for a couple good holsters for her, an IWB and a belt holster. I'm wondering if a 4"1911 holster will work. I have seen posts online, that seems to be what most people use. Choices seem to be limited for the Kahr. I don;t have a Commander size 1911 to compare it too.

Well that is a problem because the only local stores are big box stores, selling polymer paddle holsters and Uncle Mikes nylon POS holsters. The closest "real" gunshop is about 2 hours away. Thats why I am asking here, I'm sure someone either ; has both pistols and can try it for me or, they have a CT9 and found a good holster for it somewhere.

It might fit but I would feel it would be better to get a holster that is specifically molded to the shape of that particular gun. Try browsing a few of the holster makers websites (like Galco or DeSantis), to see what they have for the CT9 (or any of the T9 series), for a belt holster.

Just an update for anyone reading this post, we found a BlackHawk! 3 slot pancake holster for a 4"1911 will fit. This particular one has a thumb-break and its a nice tight fit with no wiggle. She likes it and it fits great and is secure and comfy so we are both happy.

Now I have to find a better holster for my CW45. I've been making do with a Bianchi IWB but its for a glock 26, its a sloppy fit. I really like these Kahrs, but finding a holster can be an expensive pain.
