We are currently primed for bogus acts of "domestic terrorism," which have the ulterior purpose of causing the defeat of George Bush in the coming election. I am expecting a "Super Columbine" or an "assault rifle massacre" between now and the election.

George Soros has stated he will spend $100 million or more of his own money to defeat President Bush. Millions of dollars are now flowing to MoveOn.org and International ANSWER (a full-fledged communist front group) for the overt purpose of creating an anti-Bush media campaign, outside of current campaign contribution limits. Those millions would also pay for a wide range of black operations, beyond simply a media campaign.

(Soros is also a major financial backer of gun control groups all over the world, and one of his stated goals is the elimination of all private gun ownership. He is on the record saying that only official government military and police groups should have access to firearms. Global gun control is one of his top causes, along with the abolition of drug laws, and the creation of effective world government via an infinitely stronger United Nations.)

A natural black operation meant to defeat President Bush would be a "Super Columbine," intended to be blamed on free access to so-called "assault rifles" in the United States. It would be simple for MoveOn.org or ANSWER to in turn fund a range of unaccountable radical fringe groups with links to quazi-terrorist groups like ELF, the Ruckus Society etc. (The money for the huge street demonstrations we are now seeing in Rome and which we will see at the Presidential conventions is coming via MoveOn and ANSWER from Soros.)

IOW, these radical America-hating groups for the first time are swimming in cash, thanks to Soros. I see a real confluence of nefarious aims coming together. These radical fringe groups are ready to do anything to defeat Bush, and now they have the money to fund complex black operations using cut-outs and suitable patsies for insulation.

The odds are now quite high that a well-funded radical fringe group (using cut-outs and patsies) could go after Bush directly, with an assassination attempt. But it would be much easier to organize a "Super Columbine" to be blamed on free access to "assault rifles," which would naturally be blamed on Bush and the pro-gun Republicans. If this happened between the sunset of the so-called Assault Weapons Ban in September and the Presidential election, the immediate political consequences would be devastating for Bush and the Republicans. This type of operation must certainly be tempting some of the radical groups, which are for the first time are flush with cash, thanks to George Soros and others like him.

Don't be shocked if a "Super Columbine" or an "assault rifle massacre" happens between now and the election. That is basically the premise of my novel Enemies Foreign And Domestic, which is meant as a warning, and an admonition to dig deeper if a "deranged veteran" or another suitable patsy goes on a rampage with an "assault rifle" in the near future.

I generally don't buy into Conspiracy Theories, but the idea that any terrorist activity (which would naturally occur prior to the election a la Spain), would certainly also benefit the opponents of Bush is valid. Add in the fact that, lets face it, one of the easiest stunts to pull off (if perhaps not the most effective in terms of destruction or body count) is a gunman with a rifle in a shopping mall, I could easily see the actions of one group (al queda) benefitting the other (Soros, et al), with absolutley no link between them.

Hi Travis. Good to "see" you here. I've lurked for awhile, but finally singed up today.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see some of "super columbine" event, especially with all of the domestic enemies of the Constitution (and their willing accomplices such as rogue feds), and the foreign enemies who have a vested interest in disarming the American people.

I'm not too worried about the states passing anti-2nd amendment legislation, as there is a lot of progress being made at this level, but the federal government wouldn't think twice about passing it.

in the fact that, lets face it, one of the easiest stunts to pull off (if perhaps not the most effective in terms of destruction or body count) is a gunman with a rifle in a shopping mall

What happens afterwards depends on how the event is "spun" by our so called "leaders".

In many southern and western states, you would see a relaxation of CCW laws, and perhaps even small fines if CCW holders were caught unarmed.

In leftist states, there would be a big push to totally ban all semiauto rifles.

Likewise, the same would occur at the federal level. Bush would likely be silent on the issue, although he would sign anything that crossed his desk. As we saw after 9/11, this administration does not like the idea of Americans (even pilots) carrying guns.

Before anyone warns against use of tinfoil, remember that folks thought Tom Clancy was a little off ten years ago when he wrote about a nationalistic Japanese airline pilot cleaning out both houses of Congress with a 747. Seems pretty on target now. I wouldn't put anything past some of the left (or right) radicals. I can only hope that their natural leftist pansy tendencies make them too nervous to get good with their weapons rendering them not too effective. Even better, if it happened I hope some good citizen cleans their clock, and if it's with a hi-cap pistol or a black rifle so much the better.

If I was planning an operation like this and wanted max impact, I'd have someone buy AK and SKS variants legally at gunshows over a period of months. This could be "Habib the moderate muslim." Then I'd have a dozen or so Spanish speaking Moroccans (as in Madrid) walk over the Mexican border and meet one of Habib's friends for the easy drive north. None of these men know anything about the operational plans, so if they are caught, it means nothing. Just a few more "other than Mexicans" trying to get into the USA for a better life.

The half dozen or more terrorists are then given Habib's "assault rifles" and are driven to their target city. Imagine the Seattle Space Needle for a moment, during the week of the Republican convention. The terrorists attack the line at the elevator, and forcibly take it to the top. They disable the elevator, and have 100s of hostages. Soon they begin slitting infidel throats and tossing them off of the Space Needle.

Any TV or SWAT helicopters which come near are fired at with the weapons Habib bought at the gun shows. Throw in a 50 caliber rifle just for firing at the helicopters. No rescue operation is possible up the needle, or from the air without an immediate massacre of 100s of hostages. All of this is filmed on TV and dominates the news coverage 24/7, totally overshadowing the Republican convention.

It's intentionally leaked by the terror masters that both /A/ Habib bought all the assault rifles and 50 caliber rifles legally via the "gun show loophole" (sic) and that /B/ The terrorists simply walked into the USA over the unguarded Mexican border.

Imagine the media frenzy: "It's all Bush's fault! Bush was not tough on assault rifles! Bush allowed the gun show loophole! Bush sent the Army to Iraq, and left the Mexican border wide open!"

I have no doubt the leftist extremists sincerely hope mass murder will occur between now and... Well, probably the sooner, the better, as far as that bunch is concerned. They're parasites.

Matt ..... good to see ya drop in. :)

You present some frighteningly feasable parameters ... and as we all know .... no matter how intense security scrutiny and attempts to limit happenings ..... heavily motivated BG's can and will manage to prevail ...... even if they die in the process.

I dearly hope you are wrong ... more so than I can say ..... but I'll be honest - not a day goes by when I don't expect to hear some horrific news ..... of some sort, in this vein.

I'll reiterate ........ please may you be wrong!!

It is bad enough that we have active terror cells working here. Now we have to worry about patsies and stooges too, working to undermine the 2A.

It is far to easy to perpetrate such an act. And the damage to RKBA would be immense.

Sometimes I really believe the deck is stacked against us :(

Therefore, you DO buy into Conspiracy Theories

There are reports - and I can't vouch for their validity - that Arab immigrants are having their names changed to Hispanic-sounding names, and getting driver's licenses with Hispanic surnames. They figure they can "pass" for Hispanics and blend into the Hispanic community easily. (This makes sense, given the official aversion to "profiling" or even reporting illegal aliens from south of the border.) So the next Jose or Juan or Miguel may actually be Mohammed or Abdullah or Osama. Supposedly one of the places this is happening is right here in Travis County, TX. (Austin is in Travis County.)

As for a conveniently staged "Super Colombine incident" . . . I have a number of worries about this, but I'm not going to post them on an open forum, lest I give some nutcase any ideas.

Soros has so much as promised an October Surprise though I tend to believe it will be financial in nature. After all, his forte is manipulation of financial markets.

Please remember that Al Qaeda in one of its first press releases specifically claimed the right to kill up to 4 million American children. I have always thought one of the best targets in the US is our children infrastructure. The impact would be heavy and long lasting.

Will something be planned for the AWB like so many fear. Who knows. But there has been some interesting coincidences in the relationship between key guns legislative action and "events." The NRA won't talk about it publicly but they do follow.

Although I'm aware of Soros, I don't think about him too much. A brief search produced a eye-opening biographical outline, incidentally posted by the NRA, worth checking out:

http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?ID=151

I think the funding connections, if exposed, could swing voters in favor of Bush. I'm betting that the Bush camp is ready to highlight this stuff *IF* necessary. Some terrorist action prior to the election, coupled with eroding opinion polls, could make this a front burner issue.

If Al Qaeda carried out a terrorist attack on US soil prior to election, I think it might actually *help* Bush get elected, unlike the Spanish model. Galvanize support, patriotic Americans rallying arund the flag, Lee Greenwod music again, and all that.

A more plausible (and modest) anti-Bush scenario, would be that a deranged US citizen creates a columbine catastrophe, just as DiFi's assault weapons amendment is ready to croak in congress. It swings enough votes to get the legislation passed, and it gets to the president's desk the week before election. GW Bush has already expressed support for the AW ban "if it reaches his desk". Imagine the threads on THR if that were to happen!

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Crime--including violent crime--would decrease tremendously with the abolition of drug laws, and the police could get back to chasing real criminals--robbers, rapists, murderes, etc.--instead of pot-smokers.

I was thinking if a attack were to happen before the elections...I just dont see the American people running to the polls For Kerry, I dont think an attack would have the same affect on the people here as it did in Spain. Any thoughts on this I would really like to hear them. Joshua

Americans as a group are apparently not as smart as the rest of the world. We don't recoil in fear when faced with horrific actions against us, we take arms and call for blood.
We certainly don't elect apologists to try to beg our way out of the difficulty.

Travis, that would make a great book

but I'm afraid the anti's would wave it and say "see"!
Now, if you could make it happen in Texas and have the bad guys unaware of our custom of carry and their plans get thwarted by Joe Average....
Remember, the body count would have been much higher at the UT Austin tower shooting if regular folks hadn't opened trunks and pulled out rifles. Luby's may not have been much if a diner had nailed the guy right away
and over 3000 people wouldn't have died on airplanes if one armed pilot went up against boxcutters on each plane.
Now, get writing!

Let us sincerely hope that the American people have a good enough "b.S. filter" to see through it.
Yes, let us. Unfortunately, there are way too many sheople in this country for me to hold out any hope in that regard.

"Habib the moderate muslim" like the man who's running the server you're posting on right now?
Nay, nay I say unto you, for DZ is not going to be involved in any terrorist activity against this country. So, no, Kaylee, not like the man who's running the server we are posting on right now.:scrutiny::rolleyes:

Could there not be a modicum of sarcasm in "Habib the moderate Muslim"? How about, "Habib, the apparently moedrate Muslim"?

The G8 meeting is over on the Georgia coast. An article in today's local paper said that some 8,000 police-types would be involved in security there.

There might well be some sort of attempt at a super-Columbine, but I wouldn't be a total pessimist about the political conventions. While the attention is focussed there, other and also-important targets are certainly available.

Plenty of mad dogs out there. No need for a conspiracy.

The Base will not waste their resources on such a petty sting as a silly shooting spree. It will be something big--biochem in the NY subway or a SADM underneath the UN building. I would say Miami and D.C. are distant second and third.

Before Madrid I would have said that The Base did not want a soft target here. However, terrorists always run a play into the ground that has worked before. They MUST remove Bush if they are to survive the next 4 years.

So, a stolen UPS truck turned into a claymore in D.C. would not be out of the question. Still think that sarin in the subway is what they will do if they go soft target.

Remember the strategy of the anti-civil rights groups is to inspire copycats (Stockton, Columbine, etc.). Beat the drum again and again and hopefully a mad dog will slip off his lease, easy to do after the gutting of the mental health infrastructure.

Travis, btw, you do know that agents from The Base have been recruiting individuals of Arab ancestry from the Latin Kings in Chicago? Couple of interesting murders of two of those inviduals in Whiting, Indiana (port city near Chicago) recently (found their bodies wrapped in plastic in East Chicago).

The courthouse gossip is really wierd.:uhoh: Lends credence to your scenario. Ordinarily I would be the first to mail you tinfoil, but . . .:scrutiny:

May you live in interesting times.
