Will Redhawk Grips for Early Security Six?

Hello, all.

New here. Just a quick question about the early Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum. I'm refurbishing a pistol I inherited from my dad. The early 150 serial number SS revolvers had a different grip frame shape than the later models. I heard a rumor that the Pachmayer Redhawk grips would fit these early model frames--maybe with a bit of trimming.

True? or False?
