Will this set-up work on my Savage .308?

I'm Looking to put this scope:

With these bases:

And these rings:

On my Savage Edge .308 win. Would it work?
Any other recommendations greatly appreciated. I'm willing to spend about $40 buck for rings and $40 bucks for bases.

Probably. I've not actually seen the new Edge yet. Savage 10/110 series rifles have the holes for scope base mounting spaced farther apart than other brands. Some scopes will not work without extension rings or some type of rail base.

The scope you are considering appears to be fairly long, and the 308 is on short action so I don't think you will have a problem. Long action Savage's somewhat limit you choices.
