I ordered and just received a Wilson Combat SS match grade barrel for my Glock 19. Tested it and thought I'd throw out my $0.02 about it.

Nice finish, tight fit, could not have been any tighter in my G19 and functioned.

Cycled beautifully, 100 rounds of mixed 9mm ammo no FTF, it operated perfectly.

INFORMAL accuracy testing was done at 25 yds, stock vs Wilson, got a 13% improvement in group size, this is an average of 4 different ammos plus 1 group with reloads.

For $159 was a good deal I think.

Everyone is going to have their opinion on replacement barrels for Glock. My preference for replacement barrels is KKM. That said I'm not correct and you are wrong. As long as the barrel works to your satisfaction and meets your requirements then that's good.

I've bought items from Wilson other than barrels.

What was your standard? If you accept 3" at 25 yards to be the norm for a combat pistol, your typical group would shrink to 2.61". I find it a bit expensive to pay $159 for a .39" improvement.

If you claim 2" then you're paying $159 for a .26" improvement; 1" gets .13" improvement.

I'm with 351 WINCHESTER, what's the advantage?

Thought I'd be helpful to the hand full of guys who own Glocks and may have thought about a Wilson Combat barrel. I got more bang for my buck with this than all the other springs, plungers and gizmos hyped for Glocks, and I thought it was worth commenting on.

Imagine the THOU$AND$ others have spent on smith work, sights, triggers, etc. to obtain a measurable improvement for their personal weapon of choice.

everyone's entitled to their opinion though

I've never tried Wilson Combat, but do own and shoot KKM, Accu-Match, LWD. They all work just fine for me. I don't shoot lead.

I got an LWD barrel for my G20, because I knew I'd get more reloads out of my brass with the LWD barrel than with the factory barrel. I also have a threaded G17 barrel, to which a can will be attached sometime next year. Already paid for the can, but waiting for transfer from manufacturer, then I'll have 6-7 months for the form 4 to be approved.

Bought the Accu-Match barrels when they were going out of business several years ago, primarily to experiment with .400 Cor-Bon. Also wounded up with a threaded, compensated .45ACP barrel.

I wonder if Wilson makes those barrels, or simply repackages barrels from another vendor? If so, who makes them? They do (or DID) that with springs, which once came directly from Wolff.

Wilson doesn't make those barrels.
I don't recall who does, but it was discussed on a different forum.
