I get private messages from folks that prefer to not post publicly about some topics.

This latest was that from a lady member.
She had read and corresponded with me, about gas stations, as at this time, she does travel in her work.

My life, has its experiences and while my elephants are not are numerous as some, I have mine, and I will always own them...

This lady did the right the thing in my opinion, when the threats showed themselves, she left, immediately! This meant she left a situation without paying for what gas she did buy. She later returned, and explained to the cashier, and an off duty officer that was watching the gas station why she left without paying for about three gallons of gas.

All was understood, and all was forgiven..

She has to make this run often and has since made arrangements to fill her tank, with gas from trusted friends. One set of friends are on a farm and she fills/tops off her tank with them, from gas cans.

Her schedule, being as it is, means having to be where she needs to be, and therefore, this puts her at needing gas in a bad time of day. With daylight being more as it was as opposed to winter...

She would rather not be easy prey, and likes my idea/suggestion/proven practice of not being at a gas station.

Young, attractive, and criminals might think she has something of value...

*atta-girl!*

well done

Late night gas stations and interstate rest stops draw scumbags like flies
Even mall parking lots are getting to be a hazard.

Your advice to her is very sound.

I'm not really understanding your post all that well.
What does this mean:

My life, has its experiences and while my elephants are not are numerous as some, I have mine, and I will always own them...

I think I get the part where she sees something bad going down and leaves the gas station before paying for the gas. Makes sense but why not call 911 as soon as she pulls out? It would accomplish two things, it would have her on record as not being a 'gas and go' and tell the police to check out the potential crime at the gas station.

Are you saying she does so much traveling that she has no choice to fill up in a bad part of town. It would seem if she is putting on that many miles she would also be traveling to safer areas too.
