Win 1400 in 20 gauge with deluxe walnut stock, 28" barrel with factory Win chokes in Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Mod, and Full.

As most know this gun is restricted by design to hold only 3 shells, and the chamber only takes 2 3/4" length shells.

Short version: Good looking, awesome pellet patterns and slug groups.

LNIB and maintained all these years, best guess purchased in early 90's, and shot little and put back for family.
Family got "fired" and therefore never received this gun.
It was better for someone that would appreciate gun the seller shared.

New Owner is a young lady, she has another one, just like this one.
Gun is used for HD, property duty, hunting ducks, deer, small game, turkey, small game and - everything.

This gun came with some extra small parts and the fella was just raised to have small parts for firearms.

1400s are the softest shooting semi-auto shotguns - period.
In a 20 bore, real easy to tote, shoot hi-round counts, and therefore one can focus on targets better, not get fatigued, because of such less felt perceived recoil.

Loadings used were quality reloads using hard shot, and quality factory loadings.
Inexpensive or promo loads were not used or reviewed simply because too many of these loads are of poor quality, out of specification.

It makes no sense to buy a nice gun, use poor quality loads.
It really makes not sense to fuss , whine and make negative comments about a gun when one feeds a gun junk loads.

No malfunctions with any guns or loads.
100/100 proved the gun works, the lady can shoot, and the reloads and factory loads used - work - shooting skeet right off the bat.

#3 buckshot, slugs, - as usual with these barrels as designed, and the Win-Choke - no surprise with results.

Steel Shot, since the gun is proofed for steel, did fine with various steel loadings that needed shot up from Target loads to Duck loads.

300 rds were fired from this gun in one day:

100 were the target loads
50 of these were slugs.
50 of these were #3 buckshot
___
200 rounds fired by the new owner
100 rounds fired by others using these loads mentioned along with various hunting loads.
__
300 total

First week , best count we can come up with is the gun only shot ~1200 rds with no malfs, no problems at all.

She will keep this one bone stock just as she does her other one.
Why fix something that does not need fixing?

Nothing new really, just another 1400 20 gauge , which I and others really like, just clicking along being reliable.

Great for instructing new shooters, and for those with some physical limits with aches, pains, arthritis and whatever else as well.

I liked the part where she put all 3 slugs into a playing card...
More than once...
