Win 70 vs Rem 700

Brush dflects heavy bullets the same way it deflects light bullets. Brush busting bullets or calibers is a myth.

Well, as a simple matter of physics, all else being equal a heavy bullet will deflect less than a light bullet. Round nose bullets also will deflect less than spitzers.

Now that you've looked at the 700 and 70, take a look at the CZ 550- Ifeel that for the price, you get a much better rifle than either the Remington or Winchester, or Ruger for that matter.

I have CZ 550 in 6.5x55 on the way. They do seem to feel better than the Remington I've fondled, but the Winchester M70 that I've drolled on did seem a bit nicer. Granted that was a top-end pre-64. The CZ definatly felt a lot better than the Savage or two I've tried.

if theywill allow it ask to shoot one of each rifle that your interested in fit and comfort are far more important than the name on the side, i had a pre-64 win. in 30.06 that beat my shoulder red, a modle 600 rem. in .308 that i could shoot all day and now a "new" modle 70 win. in 300wsm that is as easy to shoot as the .308. ! check the fit!!!
