Win. Model 1895 .405

I was recently in a local gun shop and happen to see a "new" Winchester model 1895 in .405 caliber. I was surprised at how well the rifle handled and felt. Does anybody now anything about these rifles and the .405 cartridge.

SASS, you are correct. T.R. referred to his Win.405 as his " medicine gun" for lions and such.

Stiff. Especially with the old Winchester buttplate.
