Winchester 230 FMJ-RN ?

I've been loading the Winchester 230 fmj-rn's with lots of success but they are hard to find and cost 11 cent's. Every where i look they are out of stock. I've been looking at the Rainier and Berry's and i was wondering if you guys have had any problems with Rainier or Berry's.
I'am looking for a 230 fmj-rn bullet thats safe, accurate and cheap. Am i asking for to much ?

I've shot thousands of the Berry's bullets and really like them. My current favorite for the .45 acp is the Berry's 185 grain round nose hollow base. It's the exact same configuration as the 230 grain round nose, but less weight. It has the same bearing surface, etc. as the 230 grain bullet and shoots to point of aim in my .45's. The biggest advantage is for shooting paper and informal target practice, they are accurate and easy to shoot.

I have had real good success with Berry's bullets as well. After a post by Fred I tried the 185 Gr. HBRN and it shoots well also. I was already shooting the 185 Gr. SWC with good success, as well as the 200 Gr. HP and the 230 Gr. RN.

Thanks guys for the post's on the Berry's. That 185 gr. HBRN sounds pretty cool. Going to have to try that one. Where are you guys shopping ?

I buy them straight from Berry's. If there is a better way (read cheaper), I want to know too.

I buy so many Berry's bullets I have a wholesale account with them, so I buy direct. Several of us go together and order over 200 pounds at a time, but the truth is, with the shipping added on, we're only saving a couple of dollars per thousand.

When you place your order from their website, the price includes shipping, which is a big ticket item these days. Where I really save with the wholesale account is on their plastic boxes. When ordered in cases of 50, the price is just about the same as cardboard boxes and fillers, and there is no shipping added to the plastics.

I've not tried any Berry's, but I replaced the Winchester 230 FMJ's with ZERO 230's & found them to be very good bullets. I find myself shooting more & more, & to cut down on expense, I tried some Bushwacker 200gr LRN. I load them over W231 & find it to be a good practice load. I'll save the 3230' FMJ's for the matches. Check out [email protected] They have good prices & shipping. And the best thing is, there only about 20 minutes from my house!
