I have been looking at 2 similar Whichester 24 gun safes at Academy Sports and Tractor Supply. One is 30 mins as 1200 degrees with 4 way bolt workd and the other is 60 mins at 1200 degrees with 3 way bolts. They are the same otherwise. I like the size, weight, interior and they appear to offer a lot of safe for the money. I have noticed that both doors are loose after being locked and not sure if this is normal for these models. An e-mail to Winchester has gone without a response.

I bought mine from Tractor Supply because at the time it had the better door kit already installed. After much research and the usual internet misinformation I settled on it. It is a great safe for the money and yes the door is loose.

It is intentional. A safe dehumidifier works by pulling in air and circulating it upward so air tight is not good. Also notice the gasket behind the door. It expands with heat and locks the safe air tight and heat proof in a fire. It kinda works like an air bag is the way they explained it to me. A little heat, it expands a large amount. Then it must be removed and replaced.
