Hey All.
I have a Win model 37, 16 ga that will miss fire sometimes..... When it happens the primer strike is lite/not deep enough for ignition. Sometimes it will take 3 or 4 tries to get it to fire. Then it may work fine for 5 or 6 shots and do it again. All other times the primer strike is similar just deeper by +- 30%.
I have replaced the firing pin assembly (pin, spring, spring washers and spring pin) and firing pin connecting pin. The cocking lever and locking lever pin was most recently replaced. Also the lock spring.Everything fits well and there is no ware anywhere else that I can see. The firing pin, cocking lever and trigger all move freely while under spring pressure or with out spring pressure.
Does anyone have any ideas what else could be the problem?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention that ammo type/brand does not seem to make any difference.
