The "real Model 64 was made from 1933 to 1957 in Standard & Deluxe models.
The 64A was introduced in 1972 and discontinued in 1973.
It was a direct copy of the 1871-1971 Model 94 NRA Centennial Rifle commemorative, without the engraving and medallion.
Personally, it has none of the old-world quality or charm of the original Model 64, as it was in fact a post-64 1894, with all those associated issues.
