I'm trying to replace the lever loop with the bowed one. I've got the riflle apart as you can see. Is there something special I have to do to get the pin out for the lever? Or do I just whack it with a hammer and punch?

Thanks for any help

It is somewhat hard to tell in the picture but if you have removed the finger lever stop screw at the front of the lever plate and slid the carrier off, then you should be able to push the finger lever pin out from left to right and the finger lever will them come free of the finger lever plate.
reassemble in the reverse order. HTH

I tryed to push it out. It was really tight! Should it be really tight or should it be able to be puched out?

Thanks for your help,
Will

Again, I can't tell if you removed the stop screw at the front of the lever assembly.
If you did that, the pin should come out with a few whacks of a rawhide hammer against a pin punch.

The pin is convex on the ends so you may want to use a cup point punch if you don't want to mar the pin.

Hey Onmilo--did you ever get that lever in? Any problems fitting it? I'm considering putting one on my Trapper.
