winchester 94 screws

Can anyone tell me what size and thread count, the rear scope mount screws would be on a model 94? thanks for your time.

if it is factory drilled and tapped it should be 6x48. If aftaermarket could be any thing from 6x48 to 8x40

Thank you, its not tapped yet. It's non AE im putting on XS ghost sight just want to keep screws factory for anything else that may end up there.... Just a side note , they dont sell those taps everywhere.

You should find everything that you need at brownells. Taps, filler screws, etc.

If you order taps, get at least two of each. It's good to have tapered and bottoming versions.
