I have a Winchester 9422 Legacy and am looking for a peep sight to use instead of the stock iron sight. The Marble 9422 tang sight will not fit the Legacy without cutting into the wood stock.

Does anyone know of a decent peep sight that will mount onto groves that are built into the receiver for a scope? I prefer not to have to drill into the receiver. Some of the William's sights look like they will work but I could not tell if they require the receiver to be drilled and tapped.

I don't think the Williams requires D&T. Check Brownells to be sure, I think they just clamp to the rimfire dovetail.
It might require a taller front sight though.

The RF version of the Williams FP sight will work fine with the stock front sight on the 9422 (had one set up that way). Be advised, though, that the nature of how it's mounted and the fact that it's a "universal" RF product means that it is more exposed and more fragile than you'd expect a sight of this type to be. Accuracy is very good, though.

I juist had the FP-GR-TK installed on my 9422. It requires no drilling. Mounts onto the grooves.
