How old is Winchester Action Pistol powder (WAP)?
I am aware that discontinued WAP is now packaged by Ramshot as Silhouette but I'd like to know when it was discontinued by Winchester.I have most of an 8 pound jug of it and have loaded thousands of 9mm and 40 caliber rounds with it. I took it on a trade 3 years ago and it appears to be in great condition but it being in a Winchester jug I'd like an idea as to how old it might be. Anyone know?
Thanks in advance.

I'm fairly sure WAP was introduced by Winchester in the mid-90's (1994 I think) and discontinued a few years later. That would make your powder probably 16/17 years old at it's least, 20 years old at the most....

Thanks. That's what I figured but I'm really interested in Winchesters cut off. Anyway, it still works like the day it was made.

Didn't Ramshot acquire that from Winchester then add flash suppressant and something for heat control? Renamed it Silhouette? I think Winchester was developing another powder as a replacement at thee time for 452AA? Can't remember the replacement for it though.
